Birds Of Istanbul app for iPhone and iPad

Whether you are an ornithologist, a nature lover, or just curious about birds, this application can be useful for you.

Users are able to record bird sounds in the app, and upload these sounds to a Machine Learning model. This model determines what bird species made the sounds in the recording. The app focuses on commonly found bird species from all of Turkey, but especially Istanbul. If you have a past recording, you can also upload this and get your results.

A map of all previous recordings can be found on the observations page, showing a pin at the location that the recording was made. Tapping on the pin allows for the user to download the recording from the cloud.

Users who want to learn more about a specific type of bird can use the Explore Birds page to search through over 400 species of birds in Turkey. There are images and descriptions available, as well as a link to the Wikipedia page of that bird.

The accounts page displays the number and size of recordings that have been uploaded to our servers, and allows for account management features.
